My friends, this flap over Rush Limbaugh and the alleged insult to the military is perhaps the glittering moment of liberal hypocrisy of the entire year. That’s saying a lot, given that there are so many opportunities, and that we still have three months left in the year.

Point – The left has hated… HATED the military and what it stands for since the late 1960’s. The “counterculture” as they called themselves were all about peace, love and… Oh the hell with it, they were about sex, drugs and hating the military. And for the last 40 years, we’ve been forced to suffer these fools, their asinine behavior and their rhetoric.

This whole leftist movement reached it’s pinnacle with the Presidency of one of their Hall of Famers, Jimmy Carter and his systematic neglect of the military led it to a dangerously unprepared state, and thus led to the hostage crisis in Iran as well as the birth of the current mess we’re in with radical Islamic Terrorists. Make no mistake about this – the anti-war left liberals are directly and irrevocably connected to the empowerment and emboldening of the enemies of freedom the world over, and I’ll go one step further. This investment that they’ve made, hating the military, which is a pillar of their platform is really a mortgage on a landslide defeat which is about to come due.

Then, in the 1980’s, the liberals fought President Reagan over his re-building of the military, blaming the federal deficit on it (when in fact it was a small percentage of it). When that didn’t work, they tried to paint Reagan as an old fool and derided the idea of the Strategic Defense Initiative. Much to the left’s dismay (and their friend Fidel Castro’s) the Soviet Union and communism there came crashing down.

Fast-forward to the 1990’s and Draft Dodger in Chief Bill Clinton, who, along with that dingbat wife of his decided to redefine the purpose of the military. Do what? They essentially wanted to turn the military into a bunch of school cafeteria workers, crossing guards and first-aid providers as the left, and their trophy couple declared the military to be (more or less) obsolete. Thank God my Grandfather didn’t live to see the Clinton administration. Bill Clinton’s contempt for the military was never hidden and embodied the same seething hatred that the left has had for our military for 40 years now.

So what does it take to make a bunch of military hating morons come out in defense of our defenders? How is it that people so opposed to the defense of freedom, now suddenly (and falsely) support the men and women who hold their lives in contempt to preserve, protect and defend that freedom? The answer is as simple as three little combustible words: Rush Hudson Limbaugh.

The case of Limbaugh vs. Media Matters, a group that is funded by socialist George Soros and was founded by Mrs. Bill Clinton has taken Limbaugh to task for daring to “hit the girl” or in this case, a lying coward named Jesse Macbeth. Macbeth was trotted out by a bunch of leftist, anti-war kooks and spoke out against the war, of course taking shot after shot at our troops on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan. We here at home, who stand against this garbage are the only armor our troops have from such attacks. It’s bad enough they have to duck insurgent fire and IED’s, let alone this crap. When it was found out that Macbeth was unceremoniously dumped from basic training, and that every word that he spewed on behalf of the left was a lie, Rush used that as an example of the kind of “actors” that these radical leftist groups have, for the past four years, consistently used, to the point that congress has taken action several times to enact laws to prosecute “phony soldiers” like Jesse Macbeth. Jesse Macbeth is a lying, treasonous, despicable coward, and his actions not only insult the honor of our troops; it is tantamount to spray painting graffiti on the flag-draped caskets of our fallen heroes. This is just how desperately the left wants us to lose this war. This is the point they’ll go to in ensuring a shameful defeat because people like Mother Sheehan, Code Pink and Jesse Macbeth HATE America.

Here is what Rush said:

Rush Limbaugh: It's just, it's frustrating and maddening, and it is why they must be kept in the minority. Look, I want to thank you, Mike, for calling. I appreciate it very much. I gotta -- let me see -- got something -- here is a "Morning Update" that we did recently talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. And they have their celebrities.

One of them was Jesse MacBeth. Now, he was a "corporal," I say in quotes -- 23 years old.

What made Jesse MacBeth a hero to the anti-war crowd wasn't his Purple Heart. It wasn't his being affiliated with post traumatic stress disorder from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, though. What made Jesse MacBeth, Army Ranger, a hero to the left was his courage in their view off the battlefield.

Without regard to consequences, he told the world the abuses he had witnessed in Iraq: American soldiers killing unarmed civilians, hundreds of men, women, even children. In one gruesome account translated into Arabic and spread widely across the internet, Army Ranger Jesse MacBeth describes the horrors this way:

'We would burn their bodies. We would hang their bodies from the rafters in the mosque.'

Now, recently, Jesse MacBeth, a poster boy for the anti-war left, had his day in court, and you know what? He was sentenced to five months in jail and three years probation for falsifying a Department of Veterans Affairs' claim and his Army discharge record.

He was in the Army. Jesse MacBeth was in the Army, folks, briefly -- 44-days before he washed out of boot camp. Jesse MacBeth isn't an Army Ranger. Never was. He isn't a corporal. Never was. He never won the Purple Heart and he was never in combat to witness the horrors he claimed to have seen."

You probably haven't even heard about this, and if you have, you haven't heard much about it. This doesn't fit the narrative and the template of the drive-by media and the Democrat [sic] Party as to who a genuine war hero is.

Don't look for any retractions, by the way, not from the anti-war left, the anti-military drive-by media or the Arabic websites that spread Jesse MacBeth's lies about our troops, because the truth of the left is fiction, is what serves their purpose. They have to lie about such atrocities 'cause they can't find any that fit the template of the way they see the U.S. military.

In other words, for the American anti-war left, the greatest inconvenience they face is the truth.

So how does this shake out in the Terrorist Media (my new name for the mainstream media)? What is the reality of people like Chris Matthews and that buffoon Keith Olbermann? Simply this: Jesse Macbeth is a victim, Rush Limbaugh is a criminal and Congress will be the “police”. Oh that unpatriotic, anti-military Rush Limbaugh.

Let’s just take a look at this for a minute. Rush Limbaugh, who daily on his show has done nothing but support and defend not just the military, but what they do. He has at times been the lone voice in the media that has defended every action and repudiated every lie that the Terrorist Media has treasonously propagated against our soldiers during a time of war. He has gone after the media with both barrels blazing when they have done such “pro-military” acts as “embedded” reporters giving away not just the position of the units they were with, but where they were going, or making claims that “mean American Soldiers” were abusing Iraqi civilians for sport. The America-hating Terrorist Media has a stake in emboldening enemy fighters, providing information to terrorist organizations that has resulted in the death of U.S. Soldiers. Just who is the irresponsible media figure here? Compare Adopt-A-Soldier is a program Rush made available to make life better for troops in the field as opposed to the U.S. Media giving Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (D-Iran) “rock star” status, right up there with Hugo Chavez (D-Venezuela).

And so the condemnation of Rush Limbaugh, enemy of the state began in the media and in the hallowed halls of Congress. This would be laughable if it weren’t completely sick. As if the United States Congress has any moral ground to stand on and berate anyone. The Congress berating Rush Limbaugh over anything is like O.J. Simpson invoking words like “truth” and “justice” or Gloria Steinem selling subscriptions to Playboy.

After the way General David Petraeus was treated by the old anti-military firm of “Reid-Schumer & Durbin” as well as the equally detestable “Pelosi & Murtha” – this bunch of rats on Capitol Hill has absolutely no credibility. This General, a decorated veteran of the military was treated as if he were a deserter. The hearings he was subjected to were really attacks, often on his personal character by a bunch of degenerate leftists doing exactly what they do best. Smearing and trashing our military in a despicable show of just how deeply they hate what the military stands for. The statements made by Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer over the last year alone have been beneath shameful, and the hatred they feel for our troops in making such statements is identical to the terrorists that are determined to kill them. By the way, where was the congressional and media condemnation of that lunatic Keith Olbermann who branded General Patreus "General Betray-us"? Nowhere, but several Democrats grabbed the phrase and made it their own. Their true colors just keep shining through.

Then you have Tom Harkin, who of all people, rushes to the floor of the Senate to condemn Rush Limbaugh over something that wasn’t said to begin with and to make an accusation that Rush was “high on his drugs” when he said it, slandering Rush Limbaugh. Of course slander to a liberal like Harkin is the moral high ground as compared to the treasonous filth he usually supports. I can see where Harkin feels a connection to poor little Jesse Macbeth though; they have the common ground of being complete liars about their military service.

Finally, the crown jewel of the anti-war left, and a man that, if hostility toward the military were music, would be the Boston Philharmonic, none other than Senator John Kerry. This is the man who met with the Viet Cong in Paris while our soldiers were still fighting and dying in Southeast Asia, for the express purpose of launching his political career. This is the man who testified before Congress and called our troops “war criminals” and diminishing them to the status of Joseph Goebbels and Herman Goering while accusing them of worse atrocities than Josef Mengele, NONE of which was ever substantiated. Just this year, Kerry called our troops “terrorists” and made baseless accusations of midnight abductions and frightening innocent people in Iraq. He actually compared our troops to people like Osama Bin Laden (D-Afghanistan). Now bear in mind, Harkin and Reid will condemn and rebuke a radio talk show host over something that was never said, and interpret (through liberal arrogance) what he meant, but stand in full accord with spew from people like John Kerry. Hypocrisy anyone?

Then in a speech Monday, this loser stands up and crows about the fact that he and Congress told Rush Limbaugh that “patriotism doesn’t belong to just one political party”.

Even a complete idiot like John Kerry is bound to swerve into the truth now and then, despite a lifelong commitment to avoiding it and he hit it right on. Patriotism doesn’t know any political boundaries, but does know a boundary in ideology, and liberals aren’t patriots. You cannot be anti-American or part of the blame America first crowd and be a patriot. You cannot call honorable troops doing their job, fighting and dying for freedom “terrorists in Iraq” and then elevate a failed, caught in the act liar like Jesse Macbeth to “victim” status and claim to be a supporter of freedom or those who fight and die for it. Patriotism and liberalism cannot co-exist in the same space because liberalism hates and seeks to destroy the very freedoms and beliefs that our Nation was founded on. Liberalism is the counterculture now as it was in 1967, but instead of it being the counterculture of “the establishment” it is the counterculture of patriotic freedom

I said earlier that hating the military was a pillar of the left’s platform and a mortgage that is coming due. The payment for them is going to be a stinging, landslide defeat. This episode with Rush Limbaugh, the arrogance, hypocrisy and sense of entitlement in bashing whoever they want, be it troops in the field or slander of a private citizen is the formula for a resounding defeat. They will come to understand that words mean things, and their 40 years of medal throwing, protesting, military insulting, troop bashing is the noose around their neck. As with any hanging, it’s just a matter of time until the left drops through the gallows. It stands to reason that Jesse Macbeth finds sympathy from the left. He’s a lying loser and so are they. He must feel right at home among today’s liberals.

Incidents like this ought to steel our resolve and give us the ready ammunition to defeat the left with extreme prejudice during the next election cycle. People like John Kerry, Harry Reid and Tom Harkin have no business anywhere except the unemployment line. It’s up to us to honor the real troops and put people in office who won’t bash them until a political opportunity comes along. Moreover our win needs to be the one that sends the ideology that empowers and supports fakes like Jesse Macbeth while deriding people of honor to the ash heap of history, Just as President Reagan envisioned with Communism not so very long ago.

Enough of the Republican "Gloom & Doom" already! It seems as though every time a Republican announces that they're retiring from Congress or Mrs. Bill Clinton goes out to make a speech, Republicans go into an emotional tailspin. When did the GOP become the "pity party"?

I have said repeatedly, the election of 2008 is the Republicans' Race to lose. The Great Presidential Election of 2007 doesn't even involve Republicans if you listen to the Idiot Media. Republicans just don't exist in their world, because there isn't any place for them. Bear in mind these are the same people giving headline press time to peacemakers like Mahmoud "I-want-a-jihad",or social giants like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. The only time Republicans exist is if one of them is allegedly trolling for boyfriends in an obscure airport bathroom. Then the media is practically orgasmic. (Cheap pun fully intended).

So why then do I say that the Election of 2008 is the Republicans to win? I'm glad you asked.

To begin with, the liberals have seized firm control of the Democrat Party. They learned nothing from the brooming of the Republicans in 2006 where they had to actually get candidates to the right of the Republican running to win key races. Right now, the radical left is so fixated upon returning a Democrat to their "Rightful" place in the White House that they're almost completely ignoring key Congressional Races.
 

They're facing the most competent bunch of Republicans to run in perhaps 20 years and polling numbers that suggest that the American People aren't exactly comfortable with the idea of a Democrat managing the War on Terror. This could perhaps have something to do with the stellar job Bill Clinton and his wife did during the 90's when we were kicked in the gut repeatedly by Al Qaida and their response was to blow up an old barn then refuse to arrest Osama Bin Laden twice when the Sudan had him in custody and begged us to get rid of him. Or perhaps it could be that Barack Obama believes that elevating the likes of Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and "President Tom" of Iran to a peer level of the President of the United States, Prime Minister of Great Britain or Chancellor of Germany is the answer. In typical liberal fashion, he "feels" that empowerment is the answer. It is, but not empowering the enemies of the freedom we have fought and died for over the past 231 years.

Rudolph Giuliani made a brilliant point when he added up the collective years of experience of the current crop of what the Idiot Media calls "Democratic Hopefuls" (Sounds like a cheap, tacky figurine to me) and pointed out that as a group, they have less experience in leadership roles than any one of the Republicans running. This inexperience is the first key target for G.O.P. Strategists to focus on, because in a debate, if properly attacked and exploited, will become a recurring, glaring issue.

If the Republicans are "a house damaged", the Democrats are definitely "a house very divided". Make no mistake about it, Hillary Clinton has got to be furious with Barack Obama. He's not only kicking her sizeable behind in fundraising, but is forcing her to move left in order to get the nomination (entitlement) that she no doubt will. I have more respect for him than her, because although I disagree one hundred percent with what he stands for, at least he's genuine. This is WHY he's thumping her at fundraising - the people ain't buing what she's selling. Enter key target two for the Republicans. The Democrats risk further alienating black voters by giving Hillary the nod over Obama, and sticking him in as Vice President will be read as a bigger slap in the face than sending him back to the Senate. The Republicans need to seize upon the opportunity being afforded by the Democrats here and effectively show how conservatism actually empowers all people.

Then, there's the "Hillary Factor" itself. I've said it before and will say it again: She's simply unelectable. She is the political "perfect storm". Women don't like her all that much because she comes off as being an imperious witch, not unlike Leona Helmsley did back in the '80's. Any man that runs as her Vice President is going to be viewed as neutered because she has that reputation and image. Weakness never wins - period. As if this weren't enough, Mrs. Bill Clinton is the most polarizing figure in American Politics today and aside from Rosie O' Donnell, may well be the most polarizing person in America. Nothing would unite the G.O.P. base like her candidacy. Add to this the idea that people are sick of "regimes" or "dynasties" regardless of whether they're Republican (Bush 1&2) or Democrat (Clinton 1& wannabe). The Republican Party should thoroughly exploit every point above to it's fullest. She could try to counter this by playing the "girly-girl" card, you know, where you don't pick on the girl - except that she's more of a man than John Edwards is, and so doing would expose her as being exactly the big phony she is. That is the death knell for her candidacy -  people don't like her because they don't believe a word she's saying and rightfully so.
 

Now, let's take a look at the mutual problem both Democrat front-runners have, and that is the massive dissatisfaction with Congress. The "House of Reid-Pelosi" is the most hated Congress in history since they started tracking such things. The Continental Congress probably had a higher public approval rating in Great Britain in the mid 1770's than this clan of clowns on Capitol Hill has right now. The Democrats made two very fundamental errors that have afforded the Republicans two very decisive opportunities.

One, they took Congress by running as the more conservative option, which they were not. In other words, they lied. (Shocking, I know). The moderates that lean conservative were disenchanted with the Republicans for the same reasons those of us who are actual conservatives are - The Republicans gleefully spent us into oblivion while ignoring the borders. In other words, they forgot they were Republicans. Those moderates that gave the victory now regret it because they see that they were duped by Pelosi, Reid and Company who did nothing in the first 100 hours except kick small business in the groin.

Two-The leftist kooks, who comprise a major block of the Democrat Party, led most prolifically by "Mother Sheehan" and Rosie O' Dumb-a*s are mad because the promise to take over the War on Terror and cut and run from Iraq didn't happen. Instead a troop surge, which is working (and yet another point) did. The Democrats now have no choice but to swerve hard-left and try to mobilize their base, which will not win. The leftist kooks are so angry with Pelosi-Reid and Company, of which Mrs. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are senior partners, that they (rightfully) feel betrayed and aren't going to be overjoyed to vote for people that promised them so much and then acted as if they didn't know them when the voting had ended.

Meanwhile, conservatives and conservative leaning independents and even moderates are sickened by the dreadful, outrageous statements being spewed from such outlets as Jack Murtha, Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer and John Kerry-who served in Viet Nam. The borderline treasonous statements and the shameful treatment of General David Patreus is going to haunt them. Here is where the G.O.P. can take congress back - by firing right into the broadsides of the Democrats and forever marrying them to a desired defeat and humiliation in this war for their own political gain.

Now, the Republicans aren't out of the woods just yet. In order to win this thing and win big, they need to:

Exploit all of the above shamelessly. STOP referring to the left as "our friends". They aren't. Learn a lesson from President Bush and never try to fight a politically correct fight. To hell with that -Fight the left by putting them on and keeping them on defense. Feelings may get hurt -  so what? The Democrats and the leftist ideology which owns that party needs to be pounded repeatedly. There's more at stake here than hurt feelings.

Next, For the love of God - LEAD. One of my favorite absolute rules that I offer up from time to time is this: "Leadership, by it's very nature is often offensive." Leadership from a foundation of character, integrity, courage and a belief in the power and greatness of the American People is the exclusive province of conservatism and something that sickens the left. Offend the liberals, make them sick, they have bought and paid for it repeatedly for the last 40 years. These things aren't slogans or buzzwords and if you think they are, or you believe they're outdated, you're wrong. They are fundamentals of being American, they're the pillars of greatness upon which this Republic has stood for 231 years and they are the things upon which we will never debate or compromise. They support the mantle of freedom, and that is the very thing we've been fighting and dying for around the world for more than 200 years. The liberals hate that and in so doing hate America. The job of a leader and the people who follow them is to defend what's sacred. For the left, I guess that's losing the war in Iraq and socialized medicine.

Given these two points above, the current Republican Presidential contenders seem more than well equipped. We, as conservatives hold sacred those principles that I outlined above, and more. We are the guardians of the legacies of Teddy Roosevelt, Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. We are, by our very principles, stewards of freedom. We need, and I believe in our Republican Presidential Candidates, have the person to lead us boldly forward. It can be "Morning Again in America" if only we make it so.

This story is well worth commenting on, following my lengthy break from this column due to technological difficulties.(I need a new computer, since the one I have is an apparent liberal.)

Oklahoma State University Football Head Coach Mike Gundy apparently became a little hot under the collar when sports-info-babe Jeni Carlson, a writer for the Oklahoman newspaper criticized demoted starting quarterback Bobby Reid. Among other things, she critiqued slow starts by Reid, an inability to control his nerves and sundry other things, leading to the head coach of Oklahoma State giving her a tounge-lashing on Monday during his press conference. Of course, thanks to You Tube, video of this spread all over the web, leading the idiot mainstream media to express outrage. From some of the reaction, you’d think Gundy leapt from the platform and clobbered her.

Make no mistake about it, what Gundy did was violate two key commandments in the media.

First, he dared question the omniscience of the idiot media when a know-it-all girl wrote a column about one of his players that she, Jeni, is utterly unqualified to comment on. Regardless of what she says, her column was not about analysis of a football game, but destroying a football player. She cannot comment on what he felt, or the state of his nerves because she has never been on the field in full pads commanding a team. She can compare his performance to others objectively, but to act as if she had an exclusive to the inner workings of Reid’s mind was purely a trademark move of the mainstream media. It smacks of arrogance and the attitude the media has that it’s their entitlement to destroy anyone they so choose.

The second key commandment broken was that he "hit the girl". This is the one that really gets on my nerves. Here’s the deal, "girls" – If you’re going to get in the arena and smack a guy bare knuckles in the mouth, be prepared to be smacked back. You’re asking for it. There would have been little if any commentary had the writer been a man. But when Gundy looked right at her and told her that her column was "garbage" and that any editor that allowed that sort of thing to get out was "garbage", the screeching and howling began. Gundy further challenged her to write something about him or his coaches, but to leave the student athletes alone.

The problem with this situation isn’t with Coach Gundy. In fact, he did exactly what conservatives need to do when attacked by these liberal elitists. He hit back and let them know that he wasn’t going to put up with it, and that he didn’t care what they think. In doing this, Coach Gundy teaches a lesson here. When attacked by a bunch of liberal media slobs, set them back on their heels, put them on the defensive and hold them accountable for their words. Jeni can say what she wants, but I’ll bet that she’ll at least think twice before she does this again. I’m not saying she won’t do it again, but she’d be completely ignorant if she didn’t think twice.

I’m not a clairvoyant, but I am a thinker. Unless I miss my guess, the Idiot Mainstream Media will unleash a fusillade at Coach Gundy, probably led by this screeching idiot Jeni Carlson, demanding an apology from him for treating her so badly and for his outburst. SHE is going to be made the victim, Coach Gundy will be painted as a foaming at the mouth version of Frankenstein and Bobby Reid, the student-athlete who was rabbit punched by this news moron will end up as the cause of it all – at least in the media.

Realistically, here’s how this plays.

One – Coach Gundy, don’t apologize, you did nothing wrong except defend your player and your right to run the team as you see fit and without the input of some airhead who never played the game. You hit back when hit and left Jeni Carlson smarting. You, Sir are a leader and leadership, by it's very nature is often times offensive.

Two – Jeni Carlson – Buck up. If you’re going to get in the arena and play a bare-knuckles game with the boys, be prepared – you are going to hit back. If you can’t take the heat of being part of the media, then perhaps you should apply for a job with HGTV or TLC’s "Trading Spaces". What happened to you is mild as compared to some of the tirades that have been unleashed at the media at the hands of Woody Hayes (of my alma-mater Ohio State) Bobby Knight or Mike Ditka.

Three – To the Republicans, Look at what Coach Gundy did, then do the same thing the next time that some blowhard like Chris Matthews or Tim Russert go after you with their litany of misinformation. Repeat the same action when it’s some brainless fool like John Kerry-Who served in Viet Nam, Jack Murtha or any of the rest of the leftists in Congress smack you, smack them back and make them justify their words. Hold them accountable for their seeming determination to, oh, I don’t know... See America humiliated and defeated for their own political gain perhaps? The last Republican to do whack the Democrats when they acted like this was "B-1" Bob Dornan who is a hero of mine.

You see, what Coach Gundy did is exactly what we as Conservatives have been doing since the beginning of time. We stand our ground and when the liberal kooks among us open their trap with their scripted talking points and theoretical nonsense, we shut them up with facts. Way to go coach! Bob Dornan... we need you now more than ever!
